Project Overview

Westmoreland Manor is a five story, county operated assisted living facility. Various projects were completed by Pyramid Engineering over the past few years.

As part of the A&B Wing Renovations, existing patient rooms where converted from double occupancy units to single occupancy units. Central bathing areas were renovated to meet ADA requirements and make the space more functional. Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems were replaced. Engineering calculations were performed for resident rooms, central bathing areas, corridors, storage rooms and various multi use spaces to ensure proper ventilation rates were being provided. New lighting, nurse call and telecommunication systems were provided.

Plumbing systems were replaced and medical gas systems were extended to individual rooms. Much of the same work was again designed and completed as part of the C Wing Renovation project. The C Wing Renovation project included much of the same work.

The Sprinkler project included providing sprinkler protection for the entire facility. A fire pump was provided to increase the pressure of the existing standpipe system to meet new code requirements. The fire pump was connected to the emergency generator. A clean agent fire suppression system was provided to protect two computer server rooms. The fire alarm system was upgraded to accommodate the new sprinkler system.
