Project Overview

The MRI at the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center adds magnetic resonance imaging to the existing state of the art facility.

The HVAC system consisted of split system ductless equipment with indoor terminal units and outdoor condensing units. Precise humidity and temperature control was a requirement by the MRI equipment manufacturer.

The existing plumbing system was renovated to suit the needs of the new floor plan. The existing hot and cold water lines were extended to new lavatories and restroom facilities.

The electrical system consisted of high efficiency T8 lighting and MRI rated compact fluorescent dimmable down-lights. The fixtures used T-8 lamps with electronic ballasts for optimizing space light levels and comfort. The existing building fire alarm system and structured cabling system was extended into the space.
